Sang Min Lim Law Firm’s managing attorney Sang Min Lim grew up in Seoul, South Korea, before coming to the United States to attend Brown University, one of the Ivy League schools. During that time, he watched the popularity of K-pop music rise in the United States, which gave him the confidence to start a music career as a musician.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from Brown University, he relocated to Los Angeles to start his music career and attend the University of Southern California (USC) Law School.
While attending the law school, Sang Min Lim participated in a number of programs, most importantly the Graduate Student Government and Student Bar Association. Also, he was given an opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in a number of fields, including Business Law, Estate Planning Law, Real Estate Law, Criminal Law, Entertainment Law, Family Law, Immigration Law, and Personal Injury Law.
While pursuing his music career and working in different areas of law, he realized the importance of connecting with people’s lives and decided to make sure that he would be an attorney that works closely with clients. After receiving a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the University of Southern California (USC) Law School, Sang Min Lim became an attorney by passing both California bar examination and Nevada bar examination on his first try, and he decided to put all of his knowledge and experience into a career as a business, estate planning, and real estate lawyer who works closely with clients.

Since he obtained his license to practice law, Leon Tao has worked at multiple prominent law firms dedicated in defending corporations and insurance carriers.
After gaining considerable amount of experience in how defense work in litigation, Leon Tao switched side to plaintiffs and had since then represented hundreds of plaintiffs in California State and Federal Courts. He is a powerful negotiator, excelling in mediation and settlement conferences.
